At Friends Seminary, selected grades have the opportunity to participate in weekly hands-on cooking classes led by Chef Milena.
These sessions give students a chance to explore basic culinary skills, learn about ingredients, and gain confidence in the kitchen in a fun and engaging environment.
At the end of each class, students sit down with Chef Milena to reflect on what they prepared and share their feedback.
Together, they vote on what they would like to cook in the next session, helping shape the upcoming menu and giving students an active voice in their learning experience.
Cooking classes take place throughout the semester; offered both in the fall and the spring.
Providing students with a focused, seasonal culinary experience each school year.
